New Toys are Coming!

March is our month of reorders after the busy holiday shopping season, and we’ve got all kinds of goodies coming our way in the next few weeks.

First up is the ever popular Rubbabu squishy, soft rubber textured balls and vehicles. Not only are these super fun to roll, throw, toss & squeeze, they are always appealing to all ages – we’ve watched toddler to teen pick up these toys & play.

In our box of Rubbabu, we’ll have new colors to our Toddler Mascot Cars – red & torquoise – and will restock all of textured play balls & smaller vehicles.

Next, we’re anxiously awaiting the return of a few of our popular made in the US, high quality, small production wooden toys from Camden Rose. We’ll be restocking the ever popular Good Eggs wooden 1/2 dozen eggs set just in time for Easter & spring celebration, along with the Toddler Zoom little wooden push car, and a new edition – the Knitting Tower.

The Knitting Tower enables young children, and even adult beginners, to practice the essentials of knitting. How it works is that the birch wood tower holds your stitches while your fingers freely move the yarn. The tower is made with 6 knots on one side & 4 on the other to give you a choice between a tight stitch 6-pin knot or a stretchy stitch 4-pin knot. Set includes the tower, of course, made of birch wood, with 100% wool yarn & instructions to get you started.

But, this is just the beginning. In April, we hope to bring more Wader, made in Germany, and thus, nontoxic & safe plastic boats & sand toys, plus more of our ever popular handmade heirloom rattles by Mossy Creek. Spring is so much fun around here!

The Boats are Back in Stock!

And, just in time for some holiday gift giving, whew! You know we love these Wader Plastic Boats, and so does everyone else apparently. They have been on order for weeks, and finally, we were able to claim a batch. Woo Hoo! It’s a small batch, though, so you better order yours now. No promises we’ll be able to get any more before 2011.

Wader is a family owned business who designs and manufactures in Radevormwald, Germany. All products are made from flexible “prime resin” plastic, produced without harmful phthalates or lead, and meet high European Union standards (CE) for safety, which meet & exceed US safety standards. In addition, Wader uses a #5 Polypropylene plastic, making Wader one of the safer plastics, and recyclable!

We have all three boats – Tug, Ferry & Cargo – in stock, in all three colors – red, blue & green. Boats are $4 each, and if you buy all 3, we knock off a buck. Time to get shopping!

Finally, our boats have arrived….

It’s a long story. Let’s just say, we ordered, they shipped, FedEx thought they were too damaged, sent them back…to Germany.

It’s been a long wait to get these boats from Wader Toys, and we are happy to announce that our boats have arrived, no damage, and Nico thinks they were worth the wait.

He & his little sister Lily have product tested, and they find these boats to be good floaters in the kiddie pool out back. Durable enough to take a beating too. Lily threw it right across the tile patio, and that boat was just fine.

We think they’d be great in the tub too!

And, after a bit more research, we have learned that Wader Toys is recyclable! All Wader toys are made of #5 Polypropylene plastic, making it BPA Free, and easily recycled. Now we feel even better about selling these wonderful boats!

What a cute watering can!

These super cute, safe, plastic Watering Cans are on their way! They are made in Germany of Phthalate and Lead Free plastic.

We had ordered them last year, but the box got squashed in transit and FedEx sent them all the way back to Germany. We were very sad. Now, we have ordered them again, and fingers crossed, they will be here Friday. What a journey, and surely, they will be worth it!
